Kinston NC (Neuseway Campground) to Charleston, SC (James Island Campground) 2/5/22: Stopped in Georgetown, SC and parked just outside of town (the truck and trailer barely fit down the small streets) and walked about a mile into town with the dogs. It's a very small and quaint southern town on the coast where we had lunch at a place (Aunny's) that had one woman cooking in the kitchen and another one waiting tables. It was filled with locals and when we tied the dogs up outside and walked in, one of the guys eating near the window said, "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on them." Lunch was delicious fried chicken, collards, corn bread and red rice. Arrived at James Island and got settled. The campground is located halfway between Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Very convenient location and they even have a shuttle into Charleston which I would have considered taking had I known how tough and expensive it is to park. Dinner at Bowens Isl...

So, we started our 2nd long trip on 2/3/22 along with Sunny and Manny who are champion travelers and are loving their time in and out of the Airstream. They make themselves right at home. Sunny enjoys taking up as much room as she can. Now you know why we had to sell the 25' and buy the 28'. I have been a little behind in keeping track of what we've been up to, but time to start to catch up. We left home on 2/3/22 to drive to Ashland, VA in the pouring rain and 15-20 mph winds. Not a lot of fun while towing 6000 lbs. Most memorable part of the ride was the Cracker Barrel lunch stop - once again our favorite stop due to great RV spaces.
